  • Provide routine and acute care to Crescent Heights for Independent Living and Vista Terrace for Enhanced Living residents, many of whom have multiple co-morbidities.
  • Perform venipunctures and evaluate and discuss results with physicians; assess acute and chronic wounds and provide appropriate care; fill weekly medication boxes, administer PO and IM medications; carefully document all interventions.
  • While managing caseload, also cover emergency situations (TIA, CVA, MI, fractures, falls, choking, lacerations) for approximately 400 independent living residents. Place 911 calls and appropriately triage individuals while waiting for ambulance, resulting in lifesaving interventions. 
  • Collaborate closely with the residents’ physicians and their interdisciplinary care teams to discuss treatments and medications, daily assessing residents’ needs to revise plan of care as needed.
  • Educate clients and families on treatment plans, maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Cover shifts on short notice and quickly adapt to changing priorities, successfully helping team to navigate two years of Covid-19 pandemic challenges.
